What to Wear for Your Boudoir Shoot
What should I wear for my boudoir shoot? This is the most popular question people ask, and even though this is a matter of personal taste and comfort level (some people are more daring than others), I can give you a little guidance based on my experience.
Bodysuits
If you could wear only one piece to your boudoir shoot, this is it. Bodysuits are the bomb! Everybody looks great in them, it is the perfect outfit to create a tight and tucked in look, it will make your body look leaner and longer.
Oversized Sweaters/Robe
Boudoir is not about showing lots of skin but more about feeling sexy. An oversized sweater/t-shirt will do the trick if you want more of a coy/playful look. This also could be the perfect outfit to “break the ice” at the beginning of your session 😉
Two-Piece Set
A matching set of bra and panties is a classic look for boudoir . There are so many options available: lace, cotton, suspenders, etc. Go for something a little over the top and unexpected, it might not be 100% practical but you will look great in it.
Birthday Suit
Boudoir shoots are about pushing your boundaries and stepping out of comfort zone. Consider no outfits at all! A tasteful nude or implied nude using bedsheets, towels or curtains are often people’s favorite images.
At the end of the day, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident, this is the most important thing! Decide on three or four outfits and talk to your photographer before the shoot. Keep it simple and get ready to have a good time 😉
Don’t Forget!
Whatever you decide to wear should fit you correctly, and make you feel like a goddess
Please remove all tags from the pieces you will wear
Bring heels and accessories!
The real focus is on you not your clothes so remember to have fun and enjoy your shoot!
